Micaela Picasso

Micaela Picasso is an architect, creative consultant, lecturer, and editorial director of Metainitaly magazine (metainitaly.eu), dedicated to the textile industry, fashion, innovation, and sustainability, and Metaprintart (metaprintart.info), a publication specialising in visual communication, printing, packaging, and graphic technologies.
For over thirty years she has been working in the fashion, textiles, design, beauty and lifestyle sectors, dealing with trend research, creative direction, concept development, brand identity and communication for national and international companies and brands. She has collaborated, amongst others, with Pupa, Simply Zen, Urban Tribe, Milk Shake, Lord & Berry and Art Arpel.
Since 2013, they have been creating trend books and forecasting tools for textile, fashion, accessories, design and cosmetics companies. Through the Scarlett brand, they develop research dedicated to socio-cultural evolutions, trends and colour languages, offering strategic guidelines for the design of collections and products. Clients include Prada Accessori, Luxottica, Miroglio, Faliero Sarti,
Chromavis, Larioseta and numerous companies from the textile sector.
Specialising in colour theory and the design of colour cards for textile companies, she supports businesses and professionals in defining palettes, colour harmonies and product development strategies. She also provides consultancy on the use of colour in commercial, exhibition, working and residential spaces, analysing the relationship between perception, wellbeing, the identity of environments and human behaviour. Her research explores the psychological and emotional influences of colour, its impact on cognitive and decision-making processes, and the applications of chromotherapy as a tool to support wellbeing and psychophysical balance. She holds courses, workshops and conferences dedicated to colour theory, colour psychology, trend forecasting, visual communication, chromotherapy and wellbeing.
She is the founder of the cultural association Il Centro (dalcentro.org), which promotes educational, cultural and interdisciplinary activities aimed at the dissemination of knowledge and personal growth.
She held the role of head of studies at the IMA fashion academy and is a lecturer in courses and master's degrees dedicated to Fashion & Luxury Communication, Trend Forecasting, and interior design at the Accademia del Lusso.
