Biography
Born in Faenza in 1993, Manfredi Nicolò Maretti has made visual aesthetics and taste a mantra of his life for years. After a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Science at Bocconi University in Milan, he returned to where it all began: the family publishing house. Here, he pursues some of his greatest passions with determination and creativity: Modern and Contemporary Art, Theatre, and Food. Editorial Director of the eponymous “Manfredi Edizioni” (also publishing under the “Maretti Editore” brand), he has stood out in the publishing market for several years due to the youthful and competitive ideas of his management, which leaves nothing to chance in terms of quality, style, and innovation.
Now well established, in fact, is the collaboration with Italian and foreign foundations, galleries and museums – MAXXI Museum, MACRO Museum, Riso Museum, VAF-Stiftung Foundation, Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation, Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Wifredo Lam in Havana, Malvina Menegaz Foundation, Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco, Marconi Foundation, Concetto Pozzati Foundation, GNAM, Macro, Mart, Pecci Museum, Galleria d'Arte Moderna of Bologna, Centro Cultural Borges (Buenos Aires) – and present in traditional and online national and international distribution channels, the Publishing House boasts publications and editorial series for an increasingly enterprising culture without borders.
Conceived by her, the book series dedicated to the great names of Italian theatre entitled ArtSipario – leggi il palcoscenico [ArtCurtain – read the stage] is in collaboration with stage photographer Tommaso Le Pera. A unique, courageous project that has enjoyed great success with the public and industry critics alike (winning the “2019 Ombre della Sera Award” at the Volterra Roman Theatre Festival and the 15th edition of the “Franco Enriquez Award” in Sirolo),
Also within the field of the cultural dissemination of ideas and knowledge, Nicolò Manfredi tackles pillars of the more or less recent past by conceiving the GRAFIE series, which brings together the testimonies of figures from cinema (Antonella Lualdi Interlenghi) and history (Margherita Sarfatti); SCRITTI D’ARTISTA, conceived and desired by Maestro Concetto Pozzati, and efFusioni di Gusto, where Contemporary Art and Michelin-starred Cuisine meet, enriching the company's path with innovative ideas and purposes for the reader.
And this brings us to the young publisher from Faenza's true, great passions: gourmet dishes, unforgettable tasting experiences, etiquette, lifestyle, and the art of hospitality. Publications on Michelin Stars in Italy and around the world, the New Millennium Etiquette, the 2023/2024 Cured Meats and Wine Guides, and the GURU books that have become a must-have (BOB NOTO) are of the “latest generation”.
Since December 2018, Manfredi Nicolò Maretti has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Giorgio and Isa de Chirico Foundation in Rome.
