Francesco and Tany Nardi

Hotel de la Ville was born from the passion of the Nardi family, hoteliers of excellent Grand Hotels in Italy since the early 1900s.
In 1958, Commendatore Bartolomeo Nardi - son of the founder Cavaliere Luigi and father of Luigi and Arcangelo known as Tany, both graduates of the prestigious École hôtelière in Lausanne - took over the management of the hotel in Monza and began a process of “rewriting”, infusing the hotel with the refinement and excellence of a style learnt while living in and managing some of Italy's best Grand Hotels, from the Grand Hotel Minerva in Rome to the Grand Hotel Savoy in Sanremo, and from the Grand Hotel Bellevue in Cadenabbia to the Grand Hotel Milano in Brunate.
2018 celebrated not only 60 years of Nardi family management in the capital of the Brianza province, but also the fourth generation, represented by Francesco - Luigi's son and a graduate of the Glion Institute of Higher Education - at the helm of the 4-star luxury hotel symbol of Monza hospitality, which in 1995 joined the Charming Hotels - Independent Luxury Hotels, and in 2007 joined the important Small Luxury Hotels of the World chain.
