Biography
Currently engaged with Le GRAAL in the creation of a new Italian luxury hotel brand. The group is debuting with a trio of properties: this year's roadmap included the opening of a 5-star luxury hotel in Cortina in June and a private members club in Rome in November, which will be followed in March 2027 by a Relais & Spa on Lake Garda.
He worked for 20 years with Hyatt, holding the position of General Manager, running the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, previously the Hotel Martinez Cannes, for which he managed the transition to Hyatt and planned the total refurbishment, and before that he opened and managed the Park Hyatt Milan for 10 years, immediately positioning it among the leading hotels in Italy.
From 1997 he managed Villa d’Este for 6 years, contributing to the revival of the iconic Lake Como hotel.
He held management roles at the Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo and previously in various hotels of the then prestigious Ciga hotel chain, the pride of Italian hotelkeeping, such as the Excelsior Rome, Danieli Venice, Cavalieri Pisa and Principe di Savoia Milan.
He also taught at the Saffi catering college in Florence, the same school where he had studied.
In 2010 he was recognised by Virtuoso – the prestigious American organisation of the world's leading travel agencies – as “Hotelier of the Year” and by EHMA as “Italian Hotel Manager of the Year 2022”.
