In 1971, she began her career as a designer, opening her first boutique in Florence, where she offered clothes designed by her, under the name of You Tarzan Me Jane. The brand was noticed and acquired by GFT - Gruppo Finanziario Tessile, which was already collaborating with Armani and Valentino. During this period she learned a lot about the stretch fabrics that would later make her famous. She also worked in Geneva, as a consultant, for factories that wanted to include this material in their production. She later bought back her label and created her own line Chiara Boni la petite robe, who offers stretch jersey dresses, much appreciated by international stars and personalities, especially in New York, where he shows twice a year. She has also designed theatre costumes and worked with top photographers. Always passionate about art, she considers fashion a free form of expression. She was Councillor for Communication and Information of the Region of Tuscany and was made a Cavaliere del Lavoro.
