Roberto Berardi is Chairman of the European Tissue Simposium since 2006.
Following Engineering studies at the Politecnico of Turin, he has worked as Product Manager of Scottex Casa, the kitchen Towels Brand which has created the category in Italy.
Later he has covered positions in Sales, Logistic and has been Commercial Director of Scott Italy, until he has become Managing Director of Scott Spain and later of Italy.
After Kimberly Clark had acquired Scott, he has been promoted Vice President for Southern Europe and later President for the whole European Family Care Business. This job included strategy and investments decisions for Europe, Marketing, R&D, Planning, Production (14 factories – 4.500 reporting people) and the management of a turnover of $ 1,500 M.
He is currently Chairman of the European Tissue Symposium, the Association of the European Tissue Producers, which includes all the big European Tissue Companies, like SCA, Georgia Pacific, Kimberly Clark, Metsa, Sofidel, Wepa, etc.
In this function he leads groups in charge of developing certain product categories in the market from a total Industry perspective.
He taught Marketing at ESCP Europe Turin courses to: MEB, MEBJ, MIM (Grande Ecole), GMP, CET on:
• Principles of Marketing
• Consumer Behavior
One of his key areas of focus within Branding are Private Labels and the development of Hard Discounts.
